Thanks for your remarks, Vicky: It's up to all of us, black and white, to erase the globally accepted degrading stereotype of African Americans and their culture. That's why the collective voice of Afrigeneas is so important. The pages and forums at Afrigeneas chronicle our documented history of Africans in the Americas. The media's twisted take on our culture is nothing short of libelous. But let's face it, the underbelly of pop culture sells. The media's imprimatur on black stereotypes gives a coarse radio jock like "Moyles Racist Moment" (from across the pond no less) the license to insult Halle Berry and all of us. One of my favorite authors is Jill Nelson who has a lot to say about accepted stereotypes.
