As a twenty-five year veteran in genealogy, I have found it is time to write about our experiences and research. As a genealogist, we are mandated to telling our history. Through writing articles and entering writing contests, we can tell our story. Also writing articles can give you the discipline towards working on larger projects like a book.

It is time for us to put aside what has been written about us and start writing for us.
