Re: Through the Storms and Rains
In Response To: Re: Through the Storms and Rains ()
Hey George, In order to get the imagery, I have to just put myself back on Mile Lane and relive the moments. When many things are going on with me, I just have to do that sometimes. Sometimes, I just have to feel myself there. The good thing is I can remember those memories as far back as when I was about three. So, I'm trying to write them before they "loose" my memory. :-) I never thought that the mention of certain words could "stir up" some memories. The tin roof ~~~ the tin type frames. The rain ~~ the umbrellas. And the rainbow. I didn't mention that one of those elder sayings was that when it rained and the sun was out "the devil was beating his wife." :-) We always dreamed of that pot of gold that we could never get to. No matter how far we walked we never got close enough to get to it. George, as always thanks for the inspiration and glad you enjoyed. "We saw many rainbows back then". Regina
