UK Museums' "Ingenious"
Greeting Writers Forum:
The Science Museum, the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television, the National Railway Museum, the Science & Society Picture Library and the Science Museum Library in the UK have collaborated on this fascinating website entitled, "Ingenious".
I wanted to share this site with you because of its vision of connecting human experiences, and its thought provoking presentations.
It's a new site that welcomes you:
"You are invited on a voyage of discovery through the content, exploring new perspectives on human ingenuity. The rich resources offer authoritative re-interpretations, which challenge traditional views. You can contribute to these discussions, by offering fresh opinions on the issues that have changed our lives, thereby creating dialogues within communities and with the Museums."
Click on the Identity section and you'll find information on the importance of science in finding your ancestors. The website explains that using science is not for family history research, but as the heading states "It could save your life."
Also included is a clear explanation of DNA. This may help you to write about DNA research in linking your family to an historical era. This chapter was also posted on the Afrigeneas DNA Forum.
Please Note: Click on the "Links" located on the right side of each section page. It will lead you to further invaluable information.
