Hello Everyone,
I've been out for a while...busy with school. I anticipate finally receiving my Ph.D. this May
As many of you may already know, I manage a site called Sankofa's Afrikan Slave Genealogy. It's a gigantic effort...to collect bits and pieces of plantation related info into one comprehensive reference site. My low-tech approach is to collect info from books and records I read in my research and have visitors contribute info via e-mail.
It's become a bit overwhelming. I know there's a much smarter way to do this. I know it'll take an "expert" site designer that can create the right scripts. My dream is to have a site where people can create user accounts, enter their research information into a form, update pages in real-time, have the information auto-formatted, etc. This type of work requires money and I'd be more than happy to apply for a grant to employ a site designer(s).
Any advice would be tremendously appreciated.
