All locations have a history. Whether in the country, city, uptown or downtown.

I would try to find out what was going on within the neighborhood when my ancestors were residing there. If there was a local newspaper in the vicinity, you maybe able to obtain day by day activities and know that your relatives knew about or even participated in such events. This may enable you to incorporate their thoughts and feelings.

For example, I'm aware that during the early 1900's there was hanging in the area where my ancestors resided. You can be sure there was panick and fear int he area amongst the residents--including my relatives. This is just an idea!
