It's funny how things happen.

When I had decided it was time to move to New Orleans to further my research, I actually considered moving to other cities as well. Dallas/Ft. Worth area and Atlanta were my 2 best choices. The job market was acceptable and the salary ranges were about the same as in Connecticut, where I was coming from. Well,needless to say, New Orleans won. My reasons were very personal; I was a Creole who never lived in Louisiana. So it was decided, or so I thought...

I eventually moved outside of the city, settled into a job and began my research. My family tree grew exponentially and I was more than elated.

Flash forward two and a half years...

Because of Katrina, I am now in Dallas...

Isn't it funny how things happen?
