The Kansas City Library features the autographs of famous African Americans. Many of the people included in this website are writers.

Please note that the names are difficult to detect (on the right). Just drag and highlight the right side and the names will appear. It's all worth the effort. Included in each autograph is a biography and links to further information about these boldfaced names.

Arna Bontemps' signature is very slanted as if he was left-handed. Do any of the California writers know if this is true?
