Authoring/Publishing Web Pages
Web Page, I got the nerve, now I need the know how

Ok, I've decided to go ahead and try my hand at setting up a web-site so that I can post some of my family information. I checked out a few options but since I don't know what I am doing and since I already have AOL, and since they offer a free web-page, I am going to use them. My primary concern is this, how much space will they allow me to have to do this? Yes, I realize that I should probably contact them about this but I wanted someone who has done a page here to give me some advice. I really don't want to publish a lot of information about my relatives who are living, out of respect for their privacy so mainly the page will contain historical data. How should I lay this out? I want to use this page to mainly showcase my maternal side since that is where the primary focus of my research lies. I want it to be user friendly and informative. I am WIDE open to any and all suggestions that you all have about how to do this.
Feel free to contact me.
Peace and Blessings.
PS, never being one to miss an opportunity to advertise, here are the names of the families that I am researching:
Primary area of research on these names is Pittsylvania County, VA, except for Holly and Heath which were in Tazewell, VA.
