In my reasearch that I have done on the Ramapough Indian went way back before there were casinos and according to my research the Ramapough Nation exsisted in the early 1600 as a big Indian nation. The chief of the Ramapoughs came from New Jersey with his daughter to ct. and his daughter married a Sam Mohawk who was from the people of the flint. the jackson white name is a legend and it has always been a legend. the main thing about these indian people is that they were indian first. the sad part about it is that people in high places believe in these legends, and because of this the Ramapough have suffered. In this hard world to some people being who you are indian is not enough. the Ramapough indians are indians and that should be enough.
