There are quite a few surnames from the area. I will list the ones that I know;

Van Dunk, Mann, DeFreese DeGroat, Powell, Sisco, Peterson, Wright, Suffern, Milligan, Dove, Jennings, Jackson, Kyles, Boone, Dennison, and I am sure there are some that I have left out.

As some of you already know, the familiy gathering is one of the most sacred to those of us from the Ramapoughs. I am in the process of trying to get a permit to have a gathering/BBQ at the Ringwood Manor in the spring or early summer of 2005. I will keep this site posted on my progress. I think it will be a great chance for us to get together, exchange information, and meet some of the people that are interested in out heritage as well as some of the people who may be of our tribe and not entirely sure. This will be (if I can do it) a very informal gathering. there are BBQ pits and picnic tables there and my family has been gathering there for generations.
