Re: Ramapough Mountain Indians
In Response To: Ramapough Mountain Indians ()
I am very happy that some of you are so interested in my ancestors. Please write to me if you would like to discuss the histories that I know that were passed down to me from my father and grandfater. I am always willing to talk about my home and the people that live there.
I would like to add that some of the people that have responded to my original posting were extremely degrading in their comments. In particular, one Sean Young has been extremely disrespectful of the Ramapough people. He has e-mailed me on several occasions using rude humor to show his lack of intellegence. But I have made that my personal problem.
Please write to me if I can be of any assistance.
To allay some of the unfounded fears that I have been hearing, please go to the towns that we call home. They are picturesque. With breathtaking views of the Ramapoughs. I assure you, no one will harm you if you treat anyone you meet there with the same respect you would show someone in your own home town.
I recommend going to Hillburn, NY first, as that is my home town and the place I know the best.
I also have family members in the Milligan Family and would love to hear from anyone in that group.
