I am a Ramapo Indian that has done rescearch on my nation I found the map that was in a special collection that I was fortunate to get a copy of it. ever since then I have rescreach the map throughly. I found that we have always been indian and our people have an extensive history. we had a past and we because of the settlers moving in we had to go to a place where we had to servive the term jackson white appeared in the mountains after we had migrated its sad that this name was given to our people with out any real history behind it. I feel that it is my job as a ramapo to find my ancestors that existed in this village and to give them offerings of prayer andlet them know I did not forget them.
