I am trying to track my lineage in the Chickasaw tribe. I spoke with my grandmother and she told me that her mother name was Bulah Dixon, which she was a full blooded Chickasaw but when I checked the archives she was listed as a Freedmen. This is very confusing. Bulah's mom was Mima Love and Mima's siblings were Nina and Benjamin Love and their father was Si Love. That is all the information I have but I cannot find any information on Si Love. I don't know if that is short for Simon or what but I did find Benjamin Love in the archives under the Chickasaw's by blood. Can anyone tell me if the Benjamin that I found is Si Love's son, and if so, what is Si short for? and does Si have any siblings, mother, father?
