AAAHRP has organized a Conference taking place at Seattle University from March 21-22, 2009 in Seattle, Washington. The theme is Black History: Full Disclosure.

Dr. I.M. Spence-Lewis will present a paper at the meeting: "Kolonialpolitik to Weltpolitik German Colonialism in a Changing Africa 1910-1940". The paper will include data on: German colonial health care, British and German colonial rivalries as well as photographs of prominent Germans supporting colonial claims.

Dr. Spence-Lewis compiled data on the German Hansa from research at the Museum of London; including the Cannon Street excavations of 1987. The material is intended to reflect the modern influence of German shipping on German colonial claims.
