My sisters and I just recently found out that my fathers family consists largely of African American decent. Only after he died did we find anything out about this. He never talked to us about it. In fact he told us that we were German and French. Since we never had contact with his family we could not have known. We did however know something was different with our family having seen old pictures etc. It makes me wounder how lonely he must of been, being surounded by people who never really knew him.
