I am researching Stewarts who lived in North Mobile County. They were in Beat 1 in 1870. No one has been able to tell me what the boundaries of that Beat were, not even NARA so I don't know exactly. I know some things about them after 1870 but have not found their names anywhere before that. I searched the 1866(?) census but they were not there. Perhaps Stewart wasn't their surname before 1870. I am thinking any and everything.
