Dear AfriGeneas Community,

I am a professor of African American Studies and Sociology at Yale University working on a project about ancestry and black identity. You can find out more about me here: http://www.yale.edu/socdept/faculty/nelson.html

I am seeking to interview listmembers who have used genetic ancestry tracing services (such as African Ancestry, Ancestry by DNA, etc.) to augment or complement the use of archives, oral history, etc. to determine one's ancestry. Interviews can take place in person or by telephone.
