* Digital Future for Liverpool Library

Liverpool?s central library will be transformed into one of the world biggest
virtual archives through two projects, the first involving a E15 (£10m) plan to
digitise millions of archive files, with a second E45 (£30m) project
redeveloping the site to house a 21st century heritage centre.

The new centre, expected to be completed by August 2007, will make Liverpool
one of the foremost centres of genealogy in the world, where members of the
public will be able to trace their family history online.
