Wow, this thread has been truly enlightening. You can see people every day, and never know. Sometimes you just want to ask, but you don't because you may be opening up a can of worms. I think that as more and more people start researching their family histories, we will hear about it more and more. Thanks for sharing your stories. Pain shared is pain lessened. I come from a family that are for the most part are dark-skinned people; I'm wondering what I will find as I continue my research.
