I recently saw Shirley Haizslip speak at the 3rd Annual West Coast Summit on African American Genealogy. Interesting. She's working on (just published??) another book, this one a he said/she said kind of thing, reflecting the differerences in how she and her husband remember specific incidents in their lives together.
