Re: The Danger In Taking A DNA Test

Greetings Mr. Geder:

My first comment is oops "an intertaining read." An embarrassing mistake.

My second comment is that you may give Ms. Kaplan a run for her money. I enjoyed reading your witty comments.

I wonder how many of us would be shocked to find out that more bloodlines than we know of... don't always link to those long lost "royal ancestors" in Mother Africa.

I read an article on the web about the 2, 500 Africans brought to the Ukraine by Tsar Peter the Great's brother. His experiment in diversity in the work force...toiling the fields with white serfs, unfortunately fell through. Well, what can you expect from a pioneer of Affirmative Action, who like his reluctant fellow corporate executives centuries later, stacked the deck against the program's success? No "positive work environment", blocking all "access to information" and playing to the fears of white co-workers by spreading rumors that the Africans got there because they were black.

Not all of the Africans returned home. The article goes on to link the music of the Ukraine to these African-Ukrainians. So perhaps we could do a direct mail campaign to send the $600 kits targeted to the Ukraine (the musical colony of "artists formerly known as Russia") and Brooklyn's "Little Odessa" community in Brighton Beach. Do you think they would share the discomfort of white Americans who discover that an ancestor wasn't "Native American" or "Spanish" or jump at the chance to spend 600 ducats to find their roots?

Anyway...

"Das Vidanya" Brother.
