Johnson, Noble.
Filmmaker and actor. Noble Johnson was cofounder of Lincoln Motion Pictures, the second black-owned American movie company and one that explicitly protested racist movies in Hollywood. The first Lincoln Motion Picture was The Realization of a Negro’s Ambition (1916). The company failed in 1922 and Noble Johnson continued acting in movies until his retirement in 1950.
