America Waldo was born on June 2, 1844 in Missouri. Daniel Waldo and his family left Missouri for Oregon one year earlier in June, 1843, and he never returned to Missouri. This makes it unlikely Daniel Waldo was America's biological father. It also makes it unlikely either America or her mother traveled with Daniel Waldo when he came to Oregon in 1843.
