Thanks again, Allen. The massacre of innocents during times of war is a sorrow that all mankind should feel. However, sadly, some don't.

Adolf Hitler is maligned as a person who used a 'scorched earth' policy. Lest we forget, many others did as well. Nothing was sacred to certain military leaders/forces.

This is what makes your comment about learning from history so apt. Unfortunately, in the heat of pursuing one's own agenda, sometimes history is forgotten entirely and heed is not paid to lessons it teaches.
