() Wow, what a nice site you've created. I grew up in nearby San Bernardino and went to school in Rialto. In the sixties and used to frequent Fairmount park in Riverside for family picnics,to go boating on Lake Evans. etc.. We would have family drive down from L.A just to go to the park. I have always loved Riverside and the Mission. My mother still works there as the director of Riverside Community Action. I did have one frightening moment as a early teen in Riverside. I was sitting in our car waiting for my mother to return from the bank when a car FULL of KKK drove past me. I couldn't believe it.. I had heard that they were in nearby Bloomington/Fontana but had never seen them so I didn't think anything of it. Some had on their hoods....it was surreal. At first I was scared, but then became very angry. Had it been late at nite there's no telling what would have happened! I am sure we have crossed paths at some point....
