It will be interesting to see what the depiction of the African American will be in the new Steven Spielberg television mini-series that is now showing on TNT. The first night they depicted a run-away slave in the story that was later seen working as a fur-trading mountain man. He was not a major character in the screenplay. I wonder if they will introduce other African Americans in the future episodes?
