I checked my article to find exactly where I said the Azores are now predominantly Black, I can't find it. Your position is that somehow the African "gene" found its way into the Azorean population by means other than Azorean history, the DNA study suggests otherwise, but if it can work for O.J., it can work for you. Harlem and South Africa are predominantly Black now, but to write their histories while ignoring or minimizing their White heritage would be a true case of mis-information. Your argument isn’t convincing enough for me to remove the Azores from the statement, but I have revised the statement to read as follows:
“The Azores and Cape Verde Islands off the West African Atlantic coast and Hawaii in the Pacific were the primary island hubs for whalers and many Portuguese immigrants in the west originated from the Atlantic Islands mentioned.”
