I am working with Mary Edmond, Chair of the Michigan Freedom Trail Commission, and Dianne Swann-Wright, Historian at Monticello, on a booklet for the National Park Service about documenting oral traditions about the Underground Railroad. We are looking for interesting oral stories that people have been able to document using primary sources. So far, we have found many good ones that focus especially in upstate New York. Does anyone have others they would like to share? Many thanks for any ideas.
