() Thank you, Bennie for your response to my inquiry about William Johnson, the barber of Natchez. He is indeed not the same 19th century William H. Johnson of Alexandria, Albany, and Philadelphia that I am researching.
Many thanks to all, also Sersechs Boxley, who noted that the Mississippi William Johnson was not a good person, a lackey to whites, and a wife-beater. Jean Libby
