Re: Anything goes?
In Response To: Anything goes? ()
You are wasting your time trying to lecture me on standards, disservice, doing this site a greater service, and anything-goes policy. I am well aware of the "Quilt Code" and other outrageous Underground Railroad myths, and probably became aware long before you. I stated the reason why the message was posted and it had nothing to do with promoting or encouraging anyone to visit Teresa Kemp's museum. I didn't know she or the museum existed prior to receiving that e-mail message. Since you are trying to give me advice - let me turn the desk around and suggest that you visit Atlanta and cleanse the minds of those who have visited the museum, especially school children. By the way as a reminder, "Hidden in Plain View" was written by scholars and the Forewords were written by scholars. I do not know whether or not Teresa Kemp is a scholar. One thing for sure, this fiasco was not perpetuated by non-scholars and those of us in the "trenches". Bennie
