Thanks for your suggestions about the Palladium in Columbus, sharing the data from the 1842 Cincinnati directory and your good wishes. It's interesting to look over the names in the Cincinnati dir. and see the many trades people were engaged in.

When I was in Cincinnati this fall I spent time looking at a few early city directories. I don't recall a separate listing for colored. But I did not look at 1842 dir. Did the 1842 dir. separate listings by race? Or was this data extracted to do that?
