I know and understand the disclaimer the Ohio Historical Society (OHS) has placed with the Siebert materials.....And I also understand the "tenor" of those times.

My "point" is that in researching the UGRR, African-American participation, in particular, one needs to go beyond the regular, mainstream and widely acclaimed/accredited materials lest they come out of that experience with a slanted perspective. I beleive the OHS disclaimer speaks to my point.

As I stated, "not to be nitpicking", how do you recommend UGRR researchers go about the process of being inclusive in relating UGRR history? It appears to me that the reporting of who was involved, or the lack of reported involvement also needs to be examined.

Just my opinion,
