Jim McGowan, author of a biography of Thomas Garrett "Stationmaster on the Underground Railroad," has just completed an extensive database documenting all of the names places, etc., in Still's book. I believe it may be available to the public in the very near future, possibly in an online version. I will keep you posted. Also, for those of you who use Still's work, his original "Journal C" is part of the Pennsylvania Anti-Slavery Collection and is on microfilm at the Pennsylvania Historical Society. There are additional names and stories in the Journal for the years 1853 to early 1857 than what he records in the book - you can also see the different spellings for names, and also see where he apparently uses some "literary license" in the retelling of some of the runaways' stories in the book. Also, on this same microfilm reel (Number 32, I think) is the account book, which documents the funds expended for refugees coming through his office.
