I wonder if those that criticize the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center have real knowledge of the center and the information being presented to the public? I have been involved with the Center for several months, and don't agree with allegations that the true history of the Underground Railroad is being diluted or misinterpreted. The center stands for freedom and justice for all people, but is not misrepresenting The Middle Passage, Internal Slave Trade or Underground Railroad history in my opinion. It is one of the most accurate public discussions of slavery and its impact on America and our families with which I have been involved.
Sorry that there is miscommunication being generated.
