Incidentally, although I am sure many of you are quite familiar with it, I recently found a summmary of National Parks Service guidelines for evaluating oral and written URR claims online on the Indiana Historical Bureau site. The formatting is a bit off, but I think they print out OK. It's a fine "pocket guide" on how to weigh evidence presented regarding *any* historic subject. Here's the link:
