Jim McGowan, author of "Station Master on the Underground Railroad, the Life and Letters of Thomas Garrett" (revised edition due out soon from McFarland Publishers) has just developed a new website called the "Harriet Tubman Journal" at www.harriettubmanjournal.com. Jim edited and published the Harriet Tubman Journal during the early 1990s, and after a long hiatus, has now expanded it to the web. The Journal is dedicated to disseminating new information and research about Harriet Tubman. Jim was an early pioneer, exposing the inaccuarcies and biases of some of Tubman's earlier biographers. The new website will continue in that same tradition, offering Jim's own critiques of past biographers and biographies, research, and the latest information coming out about Tubman's long and remarkable life. Also, guest contributors will be posting articles and reviews and the results of their own continuing research. There's lots more, too, so check it out!
