Re: Ancestors of Harriet Tubman
In Response To: Re: Ancestors of Harriet Tubman
() I have been working on the Greene family on and off for a couple of years. My G-G-Grandmother was quite a pioneer also, bringing her family from Anne Arundel County, Maryland to Cape May, NJ, were she resided off and on for three decades. A family house in Cape May, has interesting evidence that slaves were moved in and out of the house. My one of many questions: I stumbled upon names that matched Minta's and Keziah/Kesiah in the census. I already understand that Arminta was really born in Dorchester County but, viewing the map it's just an interesting underground path to Cape May by Lewes Ferry. Can anyone help or add information linking the Greenes(Henry, apprx 50 years of age) in 1880's, anne arundel county, annapolis to Harriet Greene and Arminta Ross? I found a combination of these names with misspells in Cape May, NJ and trying to relocate them.
