Studies on AA Families involved with the UGRR
Looking for published information on AA family involvement in the UGRR movement. Most information I have seen is on specific individuals and seldom, if ever, focuses on that person's possible family involvement.
My question comes out of a family history that has fathers, sons, nephews and in-laws all separately cited as UGRR operatives by Wilbur H. Sibert, but there is never a "stated" connection between these folks and the counties they were said to have operated in. I guess the genealogical implications are overlooked in report UGRR history.
The counties involved in this case are Clark, Champaign, Logan and Hancock following US 68 from south to north in Ohio. These families are also mentioned in Wayne & Saginaw counties in MI.
TIA for any information provided.
