I think your first step is to confirm with a pigeon breeder that what you think you have is what you've actually got. One ornithological site (www.feathersite.com) states what seems to be the consensis: the carrier is "one of the tallest of the pigeons, and should measure 17 1/2 to 18 1/2 inches in total length..."
