Wow this is just amazing. They were leaving all the time. I know this is not a coincidence, but the slave Sam mentions bringing Sam to Capt. Tannehill in Pittsburgh. This is interesting because there is a street named Tannehill in Pittsburgh located in the black section of town called the Hill District. Will have to research this connection. Thanks for sharing this wonderful information. Would be interesting to find out what happened to these courageous ancestors.
