"My favorite gadget at home is the DVR built into my HDTV cable box. Until I had one I just didn’t get it. But now I love it. The ability to be watching a baseball game live and pause it to answer the phone is great. And I often end up fast forwarding through TV commercials. That’s why this blog entry over at CNet caught my eye today. Basically some of the sales folk over at ABC TV want to disable the ability to fast forward through shows. Jeez. Take a look. Do you use a Tivo or some other type DVR at home … or maybe you use your computer as a DVR. How do you like it? And what do you think about the notion of disabling the ability to fast forward through shows. I don’t think it will fly."
