I think think you've come to a reasonble solution at least for now. It might help if you reposted using Gensmart in the title of your query. It sounds like possibly some sort of interaction between Gensmart and the ancestry.com enhanced image viewer and possibly whatever level of genealogy program you're using. I think that there are other users of this software here. (Quite frankly, I'm amazed that this software works at all given the complexity of the interactions between all of the level of different software and browser plug-ins it has to deal with.) I'd be more specific about the relevant software configuration ie :

WinXP Professional SP2
FTM Version 10 or whatever you're using
Gensmart Version XX
IE Version 7.05...

I'm thinking about trying Gensmart myself so I'd be interested in hearing other users thoughts after having used the software for a while.
