I just upgraded my memory to 1 gig. I have a Pentium 4 CPU 2.80Ghz. I am running Windows XP with Service Pack 2. I am not sure of what all of this means except I have a large storage capacity, and I needed the upgrade in memory because my machine had slowed down considerably from when I had first purchased it.

I was not aware of the fact that by running new programs like IE 7 I was absorbing more of my memory function and thereby slowing down my computer processing time. I just thought of these programs as coming off of the Internet, never realizing the impact they had when I ran them on my computer.

Now, Microsoft comes along with Vista. I am wondering if I have the capacity to run it?
