2. In the Save in lists, select the drive and folder where you want your file copied. 3. In the File name field, type a new file name. 4. Click Save when you've made your selections. Family Tree Maker copies or exports your file to the drive, directory, and file name that you chose.
I simply plug the flash drive into a 2.0 USB port on the computer... and follow the instructions above. The flash drive shows in the drop-down list(screen) usually as... f:flash drive name. This allows you to save the entire file, or just selected family lines. and/or GEDCOM files.
