I have a Dell laptop as well. I checked Dell's site and figured out that my battery is not included in the recall. But, this has still gotten me nervous. I have a habit of leaving my computer on when I leave the crib. 98% of the time, I am using the AC power anyway. But now, I go ahead and turn it off. If the electricity goes out while I am away, it'll automatically switch to battery power, and now I am not all that comfortable with it being on while I am gone.
