Family Tree Maker is a "form set" that is it is prepared to accept certain information entered in prepared boxes.

Should you have a female named "Diane House" enter her name in the box for "Wife" even though she might not have ever been married.

Scroll down to the part of the form to "Marriage" and move to the right to the space for "Place". To the right of that space there are
three small boxes. Click on the center box (it looks like a pencil) and a small form will appear. Under the tab "General" click on "Relationship" and choose one that best fits:
Friends
Married
Other
Partners
Private
Single
Unknown

Under the tab "General" click on "Status" and choose one that best fits:
Annulment
Death of one spouse
Divorce
None
Ongoing
Other
Private

Make comments on each entry under the tab "Notes"
