This is a browser issue. Browser "forgets" cookie.

Unfortunately there must be a bug (or a security "improvement") in
recent versions of Firefox. FF forgets/deletes cookies randomly even if
it's explicitely set to accept permanent cookies and is set to "never"
delete cookies from a domain.

Happens to all Firefox users running recent version(s) at unpredictable
intervalls and on all sites using permanent cookies.

To solve the issue:
Use a browser other than buggy Firefox. - Safari, Google Chrome, IE,
Opera.

Sad to say, but Firefox isn't as reliable any more as it was over the
past decade.

Anyway ... your users issue is their browser not keeping the cookie.
We can't do anything from server side.[/q
