In Response To: New social apps, sites and technology ()
Hello Seventies Soulchild, While not used to "promote' my genealogical research, for the past 3 years I have been maintaining a website on Tribal Pages. I find this is an excellent method to share my research with family, friends and fellow genealogists. Here is the link to that website, click on the Site Map, which will give you an idea of what features are available. Please read the "boiler plate" information on the home page for the concept and content of my website. http://tinyurl.com/cmntbhe This type of site is not stagnant in the sense that it can be updated (edited) inter-actively online, keeping it current with your genealogical findings, or you can upload newer versions of your GEDCOM file(s) periodically. I continually update/add photos and document images, then usually upload a newer version of my genealogy data (gedcom) on a monthly basis. Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but thought I would present it as another option. And as you know you can always link to this type of site through twitter, facebook, blog or podcast postings as you see fit. Hope this helps, Art p.s. I use Roots Magic as my primary genealogy software package.
