According a loose-lipped tipster, 'Apple is not currently developing a smaller iPhone' and it doesn’t have any plans to do so any time soon.

The iPhone 5 will be cheaper though. This will be achieved by using cheaper components and expanding the MobileMe cloud storage service and making it free, said the tipster.
